While on holiday in Zimbabwe, we had the opportunity to visit Victoria Falls, which is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. On our first day, we walked through the Victoria Falls National Park, and I feel that one cannot describe being so close to the falls in words. To really take it all in, you have to see them with your own eyes, hear the roar of the water and feel the mist on your skin!
But the following day, we took the experience to an entirely new level by doing an activity that is unique. After all, this is the only place in the world where you can take a microlight flight over Victoria Falls! Soaring above the Falls in a microlight, with the wind rushing past, the breathtaking view stretching for miles and watching the falls come closer and closer was an experience that felt both thrilling and serene. It's not for the faint-hearted, but you won't forget this unique adventure quickly! You also have to be lucky as the flight is very weather-dependent. Other options are available, including a helicopter flight. But flying over the falls in a microlight (and just gliding at times) is a truly magical experience!!
Victoria Falls is a destination that truly captivates the soul, offering experiences unlike anywhere else. Whether you wish to take in the scenery from the multiple viewpoints in the National Park or take to the skies, it's a journey you'll treasure forever!
